my journey
for the past two decades, i have layered on many hats - artist, classroom educator, project manager, and curriculum designer. across the country, i have used my expertise of creativity and interpersonal attunement to facilitate spaces of discomfort, truth-telling, and joy for institutional leadership development. i have loved each collaboration, yet still felt disconnected from the world.
navigating challenging life events and work stress, i began as most do with walking and meditating. for the past five years this practice has grown into
managing an acre homestead in south phoenix
crafting herbal medicine
harvesting, preserving, and canning veggies & herbs
outdoor camping instructor for play, wonder, and rest
making peace with insects and building pollinator habitats
educating on plant maintenance after installation of hardscape
a community host with the Free Garden Exchange Stand network
volunteer sheepshearing for Native elders at Black Mesa
working at Desert Botanical Garden in the Horticulture and Research Departments
completing the ASU Urban Nature Community Trade School
a current student of the UofA Master Gardener Training Program (November graduation)
sharing my knowledge of land care with others is one of my greatest joys. thank you for getting to know me and the work i love.
